Tombs of Endearment
The Latest Ghostly Mystery by Casey Daniels

That Damon Curtis, a character loosely based on the Doors' Jim Morrison, has been dead since 1971is the least of her concerns. Ever since she slipped in the cemetery a few years ago, she's been able to see and communicate with ghosts. Her friends and co-workers are beginning to suspect she's a little nuts, but she has two solved murder investigations under her belt.
Damon Curtis
Curtis was the bad boy darling of the rock and roll world before he died too young over 30 years ago. Now he's back and convinced that his former bandmate, Vinnie Pallucci murdered him, and worse, has been channeling his talent after his death for his own gain.
Vinnie Pallucci
Reluctantly, Pepper agrees to help the "oh-so-cute" ghost of Damon Curtis. Her plan is to cozy up to the egotistical (and middle-aged) Vinnie in hopes of learning more about him and his past. Before she can learn much, however, she finds Vinnie with a knife in his heart. Can this be connected to Damon's death? Is she in danger, too? That Pepper is getting increasingly close to Damon only complicates the matter.
Tombs of Endearment is a fun romp through the streets and landmarks of Cleveland, home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Like Daniels' previous two Pepper Martin books, Tombs is a tongue-in-cheek, yet enjoyable look at life beyond the grave. In this book, the reader learns more about Pepper and notices that she's becoming a much more well-rounded character. It's a novel that's well worth picking up. The hint at the end of the novel indicates that the next Pepper escapade will take her to a cemetery convention in Chicago, where one suspects she'll meet another ghost.
